Prepare for the ultimate night of romance at Osteria Panevino. This Gaslamp favorite is preparing seven different Valentines themed meals for you and your plus 1. One of the main allures at Osteria is their expansive wine list. With over 300 bottles of wine to choose from, this spot is great for a little Wine Wednesday with the girls or your Valentine. When you sit down we recommend starting with the Burrata Speck, a buttermilk mozzarella, topped with cured smoked pork shoulder, olives, & artichoke. Herringbone is arguably the most beautiful restaurant in San Diego, making it the perfect spot to wine and dine your Valentine. Sit underneath the picturesque olive trees and order one of their specialty cocktails. We particularly like the Snake in the Grass, a cucumber-infused gin drink, and the Herringbone Sangria. This Valentine’s Day, Herringbone has prepared a 4-course prixe fixe menu for $88 a person. The menu begins with an option of Oysters, Tempura Fried Squash Blossoms, Smoked Salmon or Ahi Tuna Poke as an appetizer. The second course includes Stone Crab Cakes, Buffalo Octopus, Crispy Pork Belly, and a Citrus Salad. And that’s not all, for your entree you have the option of the Pan Seared Scallops, Lobster Ravioli, Seared Local Wild Bass, Prime Dry Aged NY Steak or the Duck Breast. To top it off, Herringbone will be serving a Blackberry Cassis Torte, Coconut Panna Cotta, Passion Fruit Gelee, and Tetilla Cheese Plate!
For the Valentine with a sweet tooth, you cannot miss Le Parfait Paris. With locations all over San Diego, Le Parfait Paris is the perfect spot to pick up a last-minute Valentine’s Day gift. Their seasonal Chocolate Covered Strawberry Macaroons are always a Valentine’s Day hit. If your Valentine has a hectic work schedule, Le Parfait serves brunch every day until 3 pm. Opt for a midday celebration to try their delicious crepes and avoid the rush. Our favorite crepes are the savory Galette Traditional and Galette De La Mer. If crepes aren’t your thing, they have a full brunch menu with Eggs Benedict, Croque Madame and more. If you’re saving your appetite for dinner, you can always swing by Le Parfait on our Downtown Walking Tour, which makes a fantastic Valentine’s Day gift as well.
