While the rest of the county is gearing up for Fall, weather in San Diego has been hotter than ever. One of the many perks of this beautiful city is our prolonged summers and the fun outdoor events we’re able to attend all year long. Back in the Springtime, we told you about our favorite upcoming foodie events, and now we’re back with our Fall addition. From Mac n’ Cheese, Vegan food, all the way to wine, we’ve got the best upcoming foodie events for you to Bite into this fall.
Wednesday, September 13th
Although Pacific Beach is known for its rowdy nightlife, the little beach city has some of the best bites in town. Enjoy a leisurely stroll as you follow the self-guided path to each of the participating restaurants. For just $25 you can try the ice cream at Hammond’s, shrimp tacos at Fish Shop, paella at Costa Brava, a small swirl cone at Mr. Frostie, and many more PB staples. The event begins at 4 pm and continues on till 9 pm. Make sure you bring your appetite and don’t lose your map.
Saturday, September 23rd
If you missed Uncorked this spring, you have another opportunity to get in on a day of wine-filled fun. Grab your gals, and get a babysitter, because you won’t want to miss this. Uncorked is back with over 200 wines, champagnes, and ciders as well as an array of gourmet food trucks. The event starts at 1 pm so bring a blanket to chill on while you sip rosé throughout the day.
Sunday, October 1st
Calling all Vegetarians, Vegans, and anyone who’s into healthy living! San Diego Veg Festival is making its 4th appearance on October 1st. The event, which is sponsored by Whole Foods, will be at the Downtown Public Library from 10 am to 10 pm. The event kicks off with curated speakers talking about the many benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle and continues through the afternoon with food vendors, live music, and games. This event is friendly for all ages, so bring the family and make a day of it.
Friday & Saturday, October 6th – 7th
Every year Ocean Beach throws their two-day Oktoberfest party and brings a piece of Germany to San Diego. The event will have live music, German food, lots of beer, and hilarious German themed games. There will be free access for all-ages at the beachside stage where you can see the OB Oktoberfest band, traditional oompah music, and other local acts. For those of you who are 21+, the beer garden will be open with a $5 cover. Stick around till the end on Saturday to see who will be crowned this year’s Ms. Oktoberfest.

Saturday, October 14
Have you ever wanted to try all of the amazing dishes that North Park has to offer? Well on October 14th you’ll have that chance. Taste of North Park is back with 53 restaurants and 17 breweries on their roster. From 11 am to 3 pm you can try infamous Mexican spot Lucha Libre, Instagram sensation Holy Matcha, pizza from Mr. Moto and much more. Mac n’ Cheese is one of those meals that never goes out of style, and it’s versatile too. There’s Five Cheese Mac n’ Cheese, Lobster Mac n’ Cheese, Bacon Mac n’ Cheese, and the list goes on. If you’re a lover of all things cheesy and full of carbs, this is the event for you. San Diego Mac n’ Cheese Festival will be at Waterfront Park from 11 am to 2 pm. Get there on time so you can enjoy all of the cheesy concoctions vying for the title of San Diego’s Best Mac n’ Cheese.
