It might be early, but we’re already on the hunt for local Pumpkin Spice Bites! Over the years Pumpkin Spice has become synonymous with Fall. The second the first leaves turn yellow stores are stocked with candles, cake mixes, and lattes bearing the flavor. Pumpkin Spice first hit the stage 14 years ago when Starbucks released their now infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte drink. The Pumpkin Spice Latte is Starbuck’s most popular seasonal drink with over 200 million sold since its creation. Although the weather in San Diego might not be cooling down just yet, Pumpkin Spice items are popping up around the city. See where you can get you Pumpkin Spice fix this fall!

Better Buzz

For a local spin on the Pumpkin Spice Latte, head to Better Buzz for their new fall drinks. Their fall flavors include Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte, Maple Spice Latte, and of course, the OG Pumpkin Spice Latte. While you’re there you have to try their unbelievable 3 Seed Avocado Toast, which is topped with sesame seed, chia seed, hemp seed, lemon, crushed red pepper & micro greens on top of a delicious piece of thick multigrain toast. You know what they say, life really is Better Buzzed.

This year Donut Bar came out with Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Rolls to get fall started. Grab one, or a dozen, on the way to our downtown walking tour! We stop at Le Parfait Paris, Davanti Enoteca, and Napizza just to name a few.

Could we really talk about Pumpkin without mention Pop Pie Co? The trendy pot pie shop in University Heights continuously comes out with new flavors and on September 22nd, Pop Pie Co. will come out with multiple fall-flavored pies. There will be a Pumpkin Pie, with cream cheese frosting and little pumpkin seeds, Honey Bourbon Pecan Pie, and Turkey Pie with Cranberry Sauce on top. It’s like Thanksgiving in a pie!
