January 23, 2018Blog, Things to do

It’s that special time of year again – San Diego Restaurant Week! If you’re a true foodie you’ve probably been waiting for this week since the last one ended in Fall 2017. Thankfully, the deals are back and the entire city is dishing up creative menus for the event. If you’ve never attended SDRW, it’s a week-long event where participating restaurants all over San Diego offer two-course lunch menus and three-course dinner menus for a fraction of the normal cost. Whether you live in East County, North County or near the border, there’s a San Diego Restaurant Week deal for you. Below are just a few of the amazing options you can enjoy at the over 180 participating restaurants this week!

The Blind Burro

In a sea of restaurants that can hardly keep their doors open, The Blind Burro has become a staple in the Gaslamp district downtown. The second you try their fresh coastal Baja food you’ll understand why. For SDRW, The Blind Burro is offering a $15 2-course lunch and a $20 3-course dinner. With The Blind Burro’s central downtown location it makes a perfect quick lunch spot. When you stop in for their lunch menu, start with their Guacamole Traditional, or Queso Especial, if you can handle a little mid-day cheese. After your appetizer, choose from Lengua, Al Pastor, Veggie or Mahi Mahi tacos. The dinner menu is a steal at only $5 more a plate. For dinner, you can choose their famous Seafood Enchiladas (pictured above), Burrito Barbacoa, or Chicken Tinga Enchiladas. At the end top it all of with their freshly cooked Churros!

This year, Humphrey’s will be offering a $20 2-course lunch and a $40 3-course dinner for San Diego Restaurant Week. If you make it for lunch, we recommend the delicious Cajun Corn Chowder or Seafood Ceviche to start. For your entree choose the SoCal Cobb, Pan Seared Salmon, Wild Mushroom Pasta or the Grilled Chicken Panini. Dinner has additional options, like the Cabernet & Blueberry Braised Short Ribs, Winter Squash Risotto, and Roasted Salmon “Oscar.” When you’re ready for something sweet, you can choose the Vanilla Creme Brulee or the Chocolate Blackout Cake.

Take a gander through the park after your meal for a truly unique San Diego experience. This year The Prado is offering a $15 2-course lunch and a $30 3-course dinner for San Diego Restaurant Week.
