Summer in San Diego is already great, but you can make your summer even better with a ticket to a Bite San Diego food tour. Whether you are a local or a guest to the city, Bite San Diego offers insight on some of San Diego’s best restaurants and history.

Let me tell you a little bit about our new restaurants.

San Diego Tap Room: Pacific Beach

San Diego Taproom is exactly what you think it is. Primarily a restaurant, SD Taproom is the perfect place to grab a bite and focus on all the craft beer we love. With over 50 beers on tap and 100 bottles, you better take a look at the menu beforehand so you’re prepared. If you’re like me and can’t make a decision, you’ll be lost in a world of beer for hours. SD Taproom has starters, pizzas, burgers, pasta, subs, specials, taco Tuesday’s, salads, desserts and brunch. Even if you are the pickiest eater in the world, I promise you will find something you like here. Don’t forget to check out their list of events.

Le Parfait Paris: Downtown

This is a one-way ticket to desserts city! Le parfait calls themselves a “sophisticated French spot for cafe fare & pastries plus espresso drinks & wine”. It couldn’t be any truer. Le Parfait is a stunning establishment stocked with macaroons, French cuisine, brunch, desserts and a fully loaded bakery. They are also dedicated to the San Diego community. With their upcoming launch of “Giving Colors”, Le Parfait Paris says that colorful macarons are a very important part of their product line. They dedicate each of the colors to a local San Diego foundation. How cool is that? Don’t forget to check out their website for their weekly specials.

California Taproom and Hand Rolled Pretzels: North Park

Now this place is super rad. It’s hard to get a good soft pretzel outside of a sporting event. At California Taproom and hand rolled pretzels, they are a specialty. This is the kind of place I dream about: pretzels and beer (for a GREAT price). First off, pints of beer are $4-$6, no matter what kind you get. Grab a triple IPA or a pale ale. Regardless, you are not going to be let down.
Here are your pretzel options: New York, Philly, Munich Bavarian, Jumbo Bavarian double twist, pretzel puffs, pretzel sticks or a Cinnamon & Sugar soft pretzel with your choice of honey or icing topping. Woah, Baby. Don’t forget to get a cup o’ cheese on the side. Delicious!

High Tide Bottle Shop and Kitchen: Coronado

Pizza paradise! High Tide is super awesome, they offer some really great things that we are impressed with every day. Their mission is simple: great craft bottles with carryout and delivery food. Not only do they offer their food for delivery but also their beer and every other item in their store!  With amazing pizzas, salads, starters calzones, sandwiches and wraps, High Tide can make you happy at any time of the day. Their ingredients are all-natural, local, and organic based on season and availability. They have a local corner dedicated to locally inspired and created art, foods, apparel and gifts, how sweet is that? And, most importantly, if you are a Coronado concert in the park-goer, High Tide will deliver to you… AT THE PARK!

Mike Hess Tasting Room: North Park

Does anyone else love beer as much as I do? Lucky for you, Mike Hess has joined us on our North Park tour. Mike Hess has a simple mission, but nothing about their beer is simple. With award winning beers, Mike Hess is known throughout the country. Starting out as a small brewery in San Diego, Mike has only continued to grow and be successful.  Don’t forget to try their Claritas, the Kölsch, which  has taken the gold at the 2016 World Beer Cup®!

Jonty Jacobs: La Jolla

Here at BITE, we love diversity. With that being said, we added a place a little different than what we are used to, Jonty Jacobs. Jonty Jacobs, originally from New York City, has made it’s way to La Jolla to provide us with some of the best, Biltong experience. For those of you who don’t know what biltong is, biltong is a form of dried beef product. Jonty Jacobs produces some of the highest quality dried beef there is available to human life itself! There are so many exceptional things to talk about, I wish I could name them all. If you want to take a look at everything Jonty Jacobs has to offer, take a look at their website.
