Uh-oh! Did you forget that Mother’s Day gift again? Don’t worry, because there are delicious Mother’s Day menus all over San Diego this Sunday, May 13th. Breakfast in bed has nothing on an all you can eat buffet at Estancia La Jolla or brunch at the Zoo with Albert’s Restaurant. You might not have your Mother’s Day itinerary filled out yet, but we’ve got your morning covered with our list of yummy Mother’s Day brunches.
Maybe mom really wants to spend Mother’s Day hanging out with the kids. Albert’s Restaurant in the San Diego Zoo has the solution. Start the day by enjoying a brunch prepared by Chef Carissa Giacalone and Albert’s Chef Charles Boukas in Albert’s Restaurant Treetops Banquet room. The menu consists of hand-carved tri-tip, seared Faroe islands salmon, Albert’s endless omelet bar, and anything mom’s taste buds could be craving. Albert’s opens at 11 am, but you can always call ahead to make a reservation in advance. Brunch is $47.95 for adults and $18.85 for children ages 3-11, and because the restaurant is located in the San Diego Zoo, your day plans will be right outside waiting for you.
Shower mom with love and bubbles at THE LOT’s Mother’s Day Brunch in La Jolla. Their “bubbly brunch” will include fun for the whole family, as well as bloody marys and bottomless mimosas for the adults. The Mother’s Day menu will include all the breakfast favorites, as well as an omelet station, shrimp cocktail, and made-to-order crepes. There will also be a kid’s activity station and a flower wall backdrop so you and mom can get that perfect Instagram photo to commemorate your day. Brunch is from 10 pm to 2 pm and ticket prices are $50 for adults and $25 for kids. Reserve today!
There’s a brunch for your vegan mom too! Katie’s Healing Kitchen is hosting a vegan Mother’s Day brunch at Wine Vault & Bistro offering a four-course meal served with coffee or tea. The menu starts with a matcha chia pudding and a local spring salad and ends with a roasted vegetable benedict and a chocolate love organic black bean brownie. If you bring an additional $10 to donate to Coast to Coast’s Mother-Daughter Initiative, you get an extra gluten-free blueberry banana muffin. Brunch will cost you a mere $34.50 for all of this amazing (and healthy) food. You can reserve your and mom’s seats by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Maybe we shouldn’t just take Mom to brunch, we should celebrate her. Estancia La Jolla’s Mother’s Day Celebration is the perfect way to make sure Mom feels loved and appreciated. It’s also the perfect place to cure Mom’s sweet tooth! The brunch will offer a chocolate fountain, donut wall, macaron towers, and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine to get the day started. The actual buffet menu consists of an omelet station, smoked salmon, quiche, an iced seafood bar, and more. The gorgeous venue is surrounded by botanical gardens and has a selfie booth to make sure you and Mom capture your day out together. Tickets are $80 for adults age 21 and over, $45 for ages 13-20, and $35 for children ages 5-12, although we can’t really put a price on just how much we appreciate our moms.
What mom really deserves is a trip to Italy, but if we can’t make that happen, Solare Ristorante is there to help us out. They’re hosting a Mother’s Day Brunch full of delicious Italian à la carte options, as well as special dishes made by Chef Accursio Lota who recently won the Barilla Pasta World Championship in Italy. Mother’s Day Brunch will consist of breakfast and lunch options from 9:30 pm to 2 pm. Reservations can be made by calling the restaurant or reserving online. Solare Ristorante exclusively only does two brunches a year, so you and Mom won’t want to miss their final brunch of 2018! Already have brunch plans? Catch Solare on our Liberty Station walking tour every Saturday!
Mother’s Day planning doesn’t have to be stressful. Your mom deserves the world, but one day a year will have to do. Mom, if you’re reading this, make it easy on yourself and send this link to your kids with a winky face emoji and voila! Brunch is served.
