As head Chef Accursio Lota explains, “(I) know the exact sources of our meat, fish, and vegetables. This respect for raw ingredients is the starting point for our style in the kitchen. Blending modern and traditional tastes, we play with new textures and flavors while honoring the simple essence of Italian cuisine.”
Starting with the lunch menu, most items range from $12-$18 and include a variety of options like caprese salad, fish of the day, pizza & pasta (of course) and more.
The dinner menu lends a smorgasbord of food options along with a signature cocktail list & expansive selection of wine. Ask your server for help
selecting the perfect drink to pair with one of their signature pastas, or take a journey by ordering “The Magic of Solare.” A special tasting menu designed by the head chef which includes either four, six, or a nine courses.
The restaurant also offers a great happy hour menu available Tuesday-Saturday from 3pm-6:30pm & 4:30pm-6:30pm on Sunday! Enjoy $2 OFF cocktails and beer specials, and $5 small bite plates (right: fEATured on our Liberty Station food tour) at the bar, in the dining room, or on their outdoor patio. Be sure to get there early since seating space can be tight!
Aside from happy hour, they also fEATure other daily deals & events including 50% off select wine bottles on Tuesday nights, $6 martinis all day Wednesday (that’s where you’ll find us), and 1/2 off pizzas from 6:30-9pm on Thursday night with a live Jazz band closing the evening from 8:30pm-CLOSE.
Liberty Station Holiday Block Party – December 10, 2016
Along with some of our other restaurant friends, Solare will be joining in on the block party fun on Saturday, December 10. They’ll be serving FREE Sicilian Butternut Squash soup!
Christmas Eve Dinner – December 24, 2016
Join the Solare team for a winter wonderland of Sicilian dishes on the eve of Christmas. Chef Accursio will be sharing his personal family recipes for your tasting enjoyment! The dinner includes 4-courses “with a couple special surprises” courtesy of the chef. Tickets are $59 for adults.
New Year’s Eve Dinner & Party! – December 31, 2016
This is one celebration you won’t want to pass up! The Solare team is hosting two separate New Year’s Eve Dinners, one from 4:30pm-6:15pm and another from 6:30pm-2am. The latter will include a full bar and 4-courses for $69/pp. The folks at Marriott Courtyard have also blocked out a few rooms for Solare customers. Book a stay for only $99 and take a shuttle from the restaurant or enjoy a leisurely stroll through NTC Park.
Cooking Class: Fish and Shellfish + Fish Market
Learn the ins and outs of the proper way to buy fresh fish from a local market just a few miles from the restaurant. Afterwards, get hands & prepare and cook some delicious seafood dishes. Chef Accursio will teach you how to cook Traditional Cioppino, sashimi Italian-style, “Pesce alla Siciliana” or “whole fish.” Inquire here for more details.
PRIVATE EVENTS & PARTIES
Solare Ristorante also hosts a range of events, parties and celebrations for all group sizes. They can host an intimate group inside their wine room (must reserve in advance), or host a larger intimate group in the Chef’s Table Dining room. Or if you’re looking to reserve the entire restaurant they can accommodate groups of up to 125.
